Australian pop star Cody Simpson was unexpectedly seated next to his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid on a flight from Toronto, Canada, on Monday.
The former couple split after two years of dating last month, and both Simpson and the model were in Toronto to present prizes at the MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday night.
They managed to avoid each other at the ceremony, but they were forced to face each other when they were seated together on the same flight out of Canada.
Simpson took to media sharing app Snapchat to share a photo of him next to Hadid on the plane, along with the caption, “When you get seated next to ur ex on a plane,” along with a skull face emoji.
Since their split, Hadid has sparked rumors she is dating another pop star, Joe Jonas, after the two were spotted together during an intimate night out in New York earlier this month.
